Virtual assistant Vesku the Reindeer responds travelers´questions

The Municipality of Inari has developed a virtual tourism information chatbot in cooperation with Flowhouse Ltd. The virtual advisor is named Vesku the Reindeer, and it will respond to travelers’ questions 24/7 on the tourism websites of the Municipality of Inari and Lapland North Destinations Ltd in multiple languages.

The goal is to improve the service experience, strengthen the region’s digital accessibility, and utilize customer data in service development. The solution developed by Flowhouse is based on the Chatbase system, which uses advanced AI models built on natural language processing. Through user questions, the virtual tourism advisor continuously learns and improves.
