Welcome to Skolt Saami community day on Saturday 6th September 2025 at Sámi Museum Siida. The day includes a visit to Siida’s main exhibition and a display of a collection of Skolt Saami objects specially selected just for this day, based on participant’s votes. The event offers an opportunity to meet and network with the cross-border Skolt Saami community. Lunch and coffee is provided by the event and free transportation is arranged from Kirkenes and Nellim to Inari and back.
Skolt Saami Community Day is organized by Oummu rââst raaj, MÁHTUT and SÁMIPOLITY projects in cooperation with Sámi Museum Siida and Ä’vv Skolt Saami Museum. The event is open for everyone and free of charge, but mandatory registration must be done by Monday 1 Semptember 2025. Registration is done via an online form which is available in Finnish, Norwegian and English. In addition, a separate vote is open where you can vote which object groups will be on display during the event.
