Information about coronavirus vaccinations in Inari Municipality

Finnish institute for health and welfare recommends the fourth vaccine for

  • persons aged 12 or over with severely weakened immune defence
  • persons aged 80 years and over
  • persons in home care, care homes and informal family care aged 70 years and over
  • persons aged 70 and over in risk groups 1 or 2

People belonging to risk groups 1 or 2

Risk group 1: illness or condition that is highly predisposing to severe coronavirus disease

  • Organ transplant or stem cell transplant
  • People undergoing active cancer treatment
  • Severe disorders of the immune system
  • Severe chronic renal disease
  • Severe chronic pulmonary disease
  • Type 2 diabetes with medication
  • Down syndrome

Risk group 2: illness or condition that is predisposing to severe coronavirus disease

  • Asthma requiring continuous medication
  • Severe heart disease
  • Neurological illness or condition that affects breathing
  • Immunosuppressive drug therapy for autoimmune disease
  • Severe chronic liver disease
  • Type 1 diabetes or adrenal insufficiency
  • Sleep apnea
  • Psychosis
  • Morbid obesity
  • Pregnancy

Those belonging to above-mentioned risk groups can be given the fourth vaccine dose when at least three months have passed from the third dose.

You can also make an appointment for vaccination. Call +358 40 571 8515 between 12:00 and 14:00 on weekdays. Please make the changes and cancellations to the same number. In case the number is busy or there is no answer, you will be called back. 

First, second, third and fourth vaccination doses are given in the vaccination points. You can have the second dose six weeks after your first dose. The third dose is available three months after the second dose for persons aged 18 years and over.
